And often wonder why,
We fail to see the good in life
In part, although we try.
There's many things around us
That can make us bright and gay,
Like when we came unto this earth
Choosing our own special day.
We all should try to greet each day
As though it is the best,
Knowing that we have the choice
Forget about the rest.
Today is all there really is
Though the others may be near,
The past and future cannot help
For this is when we're here.
So try to stay in the here and now
For this is where we see,
The wonders that surround us
Being thankful we are free...
Dancing to the tune of cognizance
A recognition of the Now.
Everlasting eternal flame
The fervor of a moment frozen in time.
Alive with love
The silhouette of childish wonder
flickering in the exchange of youthfulness.
The bud of innocence
Growing, evolving into something even
greater than before.
You,
The key to a lifetime of connectedness
Raging in my soul...
By acknowledging our fate
Until now did you realize
I'd be your perfect mate.
Our views are rather similar
Cause it's our way of life
No sooner could we hurt a soul
Or cause another's strife.
You see we're both quite gentle
It's because of this we've grown
To see us from the outside
This facets never shown.
For our true nature's buried
In our soul down deep inside
Mine's waiting for that special day
When I become your bride.
Because when we're together
Our life has then begun
Our souls now have their purpose
Our hearts now beat as one...
So deep you'd like to shout?
Have you ever looked inside
And let your true self out?
Have you ever felt so whole
That peace surrounds you now?
Have you ever even cared
Or made just one small vow?

To know your soul within?
Have you ever given thought
It's time to now begin?

Or felt his presence near?

The complexity of you....
Comes rising to the fore,
It makes me wonder if we've met
Upon a distant shore.
I know the feelings in my soul
I've felt them from the start,
A different body, name, and face
For certain the same heart.
The familiar look seen in your eyes
Gives you away each time,
That consciously I can't recall
Seems almost like a crime.
Each time I look into your eyes
I wonder if you too,
Would wonder if you looked in mine
Could this be Deje vu?
For when you really look inside
The truth will then be shown,
That certain something felt within
True happiness we've known...
With a man as dear as you
So sensitive and wonderful
A soul surpassed by few.
To hear your sounds of laughter
Brings sunshine to my days
I've felt your touch beneath my flesh
In my soulmates eyes I gaze.
Your music fills my inner self
With a seductive, soothing balm
As you become the sounds you make
My soul knows inner calm.
You've set your sights above the clouds
A vision we both share
To feel your soul beside mine
Gives a smile I'm proud to wear.
I see you and I get the urge
To share and state my love
For you've descended from a star
My angel from above.
I love you, Kevin through and through
You make my life complete
So you take credit where credit's due
It is through YOU that I grew.....

The gift is one of friendship
Knowing that you really care.
This knowing is what gives me strength

The fact that you're my mother
Enables me to say:
You did your best to give to me
All the wisdom that you own,
I witnessed your examples
Until I was full grown.
The good times -- You were there for me
The pride shown in your face,
The bad times -- When I needed you
You acted like a brace.
There is no way I could repay
All the years that you have shared,
You see there was no price to pay
No motives, you just cared.
So know that as you're reading this
You are always on my mind,
And that when all is said and done
A better “Friend” I could not find...
Begins for me each night,
Where peace is felt and beauty seen
And love's abounding bright.
Where never-ending truth is sought
And beauty's not skin deep,
As people show their true face
Great blessings we all reap.
There is no silent wondering
If things will turn out right,
Because we're living at our best
Our paths are given light.
For now we see no difference
Equality rings out,
Peace, happiness, and true love
That's what life is all about.
So living on this earth plane
With one me I will care,
While knowing there's another life
The other me can share....
Adversity ripping at my roots, besieged with emotions.
Strangely enough, I am comforted.
Sometimes lonely, but never alone, for I have been
blessed.
Within the hollows of my being
Dwells the nucleus of my power
Strong yet silent, content to just “be”.
I sense the pulse of energy, a faint flicker to be sure
Rising slowly until I possess an overwhelming
urge to release.
Desire makes itself felt, though I know not what will be.
A life born of captivity
forced upon my will at birth can't daunt me.
The well of my soul protecting my true self, hiding
wondering, and waiting till it's safe.
Creativity now demands expression.
Courageously I open up, leery of what will transpire.
Aware, I can't belie the seeds which were planted
long before I came.
Growth forces me to expand ever further.
Breaking free, radiant with the knowledge that's
everlasting
Serenity pervades my reality for I am secure,
sapient to the fact that no matter what,
I am never alone...
A soul mirrored of chestnut eyes locks into mine;
set in quiet fixation.
Aware
My response is simultaneous and deep.
Silently I gasp
Enveloped in the warm vibrations of energy
that course through my being.
Excitement builds in spite
of the calm facade I wear.
Yearning for exchange our soul's connect
separateness fading into oblivion.
Love washing into and through one another
we drink in the fluid essence of recognition.
With eyes reflecting my own desire the gaze is broken.
Bonding has taken place.
The circuit's complete.
The I has become the we
And the we became one......
For a way to share my soul,
That I had yet to realize
It would become my lifelong goal.
I'd experienced this sharing
In my mind, twas not returned,
To feel the bond between two souls
Was forever what I yearned.
I met you and I felt at once
That this was meant to be,
For through your eyes I heard you
Your soul cried out to me.
For you too had been looking
towards a “connection” that was real,
Precisely why our paths entwined
So that our souls' could heal.
I believe I finally comprehend
All the heartbreak I've endured,
My emotions had to bide their time
Till my soul's growth was ensured.....
Do so at their own risk,
For storms can brew at any time
The winds are oh-so brisk.
The nights can be especially long
While the moon can light the way,
For Neptune's fury, being quite strong
Makes man glad to see the day.
The sea can be a special place
Where solitude is dealt,
The wonder of the elements
Can make our smallness felt.
It's plain to see, in black and white
The beauty of it all,
The lapping waves are swift and bright
Neptune's time to make his call.
It's day again, the night was good
It's time for our respect,
We've safely sailed along our way
Our wonder to reflect...
A Feeling of Thanks
I sit in God's amazing world And often wonder why,
We fail to see the good in life

I see you and the joy within Comes rising to the fore,
It makes me wonder if we've met
